Tons of dinosaurs appear in the original Jurassic Park movie, but just as many were cut from the original film, with some having pretty weird reasons.
Although the original Jurassic Park features all kinds of dinosaurs, the film also cut a surprising amount of dinosaurs. The 1993 film is full of raptors, T. rexes, and Dilophosauruses, with the film turning many obscure dinosaurs into household names. However, throughout Jurassic Park's various stages of development, plenty of other dinosaurs were considered for inclusion in the first film, but many ended up getting cut before making it in.
10 Compsognathus Compsognathus are incredibly small but dangerous dinosaurs that tended to hunt in packs. The dinosaurs were supposed to appear in the first Jurassic Park, where they would have eaten a human baby. Due to the scene being incredibly dark, it was cut from the film, although they did return for a similar scene in The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
6 Hypsilophodon Hypsilophodons were another species of incredibly small dinosaurs, with the animals being in the original script for Jurassic Park. They too were intended to be seen during the river sequence, which ended up being cut. Sadly, the hypsilophodons still haven't been used in any of the Jurassic Park movies, leaving them as a fairly obscure species of dinosaur.
