9 Zach Braff Zach Braff is best known for his comedic role as J.D. in the long-running series Scrubs, and is also famous for his breakout role in Garden State with Natalie Portman. Surprisingly, Braff arguably has a more impressive directorial filmography than he does as an actor. The actor wrote and directed Garden State himself and ended up directing seven episodes of Scrubs.
7 John Krasinski John Krasinski is best known as the lovable Jim Halpert from the hit comedy series The Office. Since then, Krasinski has become a consistent actor in both film and television in a multitude of genres. Krasinski most notably starred as Lee Abbott in the popular horror franchise A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II as well as the titular role in the Amazon series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.
4 Kenneth Branagh Kenneth Branagh is most commonly known for his role as Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and his recent performances in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk and Tenet. In fact, Branagh has an extensive acting career that spans four decades. One of his earliest works as an actor and director was the Oscar-winner Henry V in 1989. Branagh has directed several modern Shakespearean film adaptations such as Much Ado About Nothing and 1996's Hamlet.
