The 22-year-old was released from jail in February after bail was decreased by $50,000, according to court records.

Alex Torres Santos and James Fernandez-Reyes were charged with three counts of homicide each for a Tuesday, May 30, 2023, shooting in Lebanon. A man charged with killing three people — including two children — in Lebanon this week was free on bail and connected to two other shootings in the city this year, court documents said.

Neighbor Luis Cancel, 33, is recovering at a hospital after getting hit by a stray bullet, authorities said.“This incident, the loss of life of little children just starting out in life, is truly heartbreaking. These young boys are our family members, too,” Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello said at a Thursday press conference. “We will do our best to make sure we have a solid case for the prosecution.”, was found hiding in another apartment in Torres Santos’ building on Wednesday, the affidavit said.

Lebanon County District Attorney Pier Hess Graf said Torres Santos wore a house-arrest bracelet — placed on him as a bail condition after his arrest for the prior shootings — to the scene of Tuesday’s shooting. He was identified by the county probation office as having traveled to the exact location of the homicides at the time they occurred.

Police said Fernandez-Reyes and the third male used handguns during Tuesday’s shooting, while Torres Santos shot a rifle.
