One person has died after a shooting on the campus of Rose State College near Oklahoma City, police said Monday.
The suspected shooter is in custody after responding officers ordered him to drop his weapon, local authorities said.
Midwest City Police Chief Sid Porter said the shooting was a "domestic related incident" and that the suspect and victim are "acquainted through a domestic related situation." The public community college in Midwest City, Oklahoma originally said there was "active shooter situation," which local authorities later refuted, calling it an isolated incident.
The university said to continue to "shelter in place and follow instructions from law enforcement officials" in the tweet.This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
