San Diego police investigating homicide after man shot in East Village [Breaking]
Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was fatally shot in East Village just after sunrise Friday morning, San Diego police said.
The shooting was reported in the area of 16th and Commercial streets shortly before 5:50 a.m., Office David O’Brien said. The area is near the border of East Village and Barrio Logan. Footage from OnScene TV showed police rolling out crime scene tape across a street as other officers and paramedics administered life saving measures on the man.A woman repeatedly cried out, “Why?” as she watched first responders work to revive the man.No further information was immediately available.
